 Journal of Research for Christianity in China (JRCC, Semi-Annual, ISSN: 2325-9914) 

Journal of Research for Christianity in China (Semi-Annual, ISSN: 2325-9914) is jointly edited and published by the Christianity and China Research Center in Los Angeles, USA, and the Center for the Study of Religion and Chinese Society, Shanghai University, China. This journal was launched in December 2013. JRCC is  an Open Access and all articles are published under a CC BY-NC-ND 4.0.

Aims and Scope: JRCC is an international journal publishing high quality research that makes original and significant contribution to the Chinese Christian studies. The scope of the journal is related to all the studies of Christianity in China including the historical, philosophical, theological, textual, comparative studies of Christianity and so on. This journal aims to provide a platform for academic exchanges among scholars engaged in the study of Chinese Christianity, Chinese religions and culture, to promote the dialogue between Chinese Christianity and Chinese religion and culture through academic research, and to provide useful references and academic reflections for the future construction of Chinese culture. The journal focuses on providing an academic platform for young scholars, and warmly welcomes young scholars of different majors, disciplines, and backgrounds to conduct in-depth analyses on topics related to the construction of Chinese culture. We welcome articles on Chinese religions, Chinese culture, the history of Christianity in China, Chinese theology, and the study of the Bible, especially interdisciplinary, forward-looking, and exploratory articles, as well as academic papers in the nature of cultural and religious dialogue, and scholarly book reviews and developments in the academic world.

Peer Review Process: All research articles in JRCC have undergone rigorous double-blind peer review, based on initial editor screening and anonymized refereeing by two anonymous referees.

All review and reflective papers in this journal have undergone editorial screening and double-blind peer review.

Publication Frequency: Generally, JRCC is published two times a year, in June and December of each year. 

Article Processing Charges: JRCC does not charge authors or any third party for publication. Both submission and processing of manuscripts, and publication of articles are free of charge. There are no fees for publishing materials. There are no: "article processing charges" (APCs), "article submission charges", "membership fees" or "language editing fees". We do not charge authors for having colour photos or extra pages in their articles. There are no hidden costs whatsoever.

Journal History:

JRCC was founded in 2013, edited and published by the Christianity and China Research Center, Los Angeles, USA, with Dr. Li Ling, Director General of the Center, as Editor-in-Chief; starting with Issue 2 in 2014, JRCC is jointly edited and published by the Christianity and China Research Center, Los Angeles, and the Center for the Study of Religion and Chinese Society, Shanghai University. The first five issues were published in paper format in addition to electronic format. After the 6th issue, it was completely changed to online version. Since 2020, the 15th issue, the editor-in-chief was changed to Dr.Qinghe Xiao, from the Department of History, Shanghai University, with Drs. Qiang Yu and Rui Peng as the associate editors, and Dr. Ling Li as the advisor of the journal, and the editorial board was increased to seven members.Since 2021, the 17th issue, the journal started to pay the authors and executive editors the manuscript fee and editorial fee, and from this issue onwards, the journal joined the Taiwan Huayi Database, and started to provide DOI links to each article. In 2025, the editor-in-chief of the journal is Prof. Xiao Qinghe from the Department of Philosophy, Peking University, and the associate editors are Prof. Peng Rui of Nanchang University, Prof. Liu Ping of Fudan University, and Prof. Wang Xuesheng of Chung Yuan Christian University in Taiwan, and the editorial board members are increased to 16 members.

Milestones:

December 2013: JRCC was founded in the United States.
June 2014: JRCC changed to be jointly edited and published by the Christianity and China Research Center in Los Angeles, USA, and the Center for the Study of Religion and Chinese Society at Shanghai University.
June 2016: paper edition canceled, entirely switched to online publication.
December 2020: Editor-in-Chief changed to Dr. Qinghe XIAO, with Dr. Ling Li as advisor to the journal.
December 2021: join Taiwan Huayi ACI database and get DOI link for each article.
June 2025: Editorial Board increased to 16 members.
